What is Lotus House Foundation?
Lotus House is a new transitional housing project dedicated to supporting women who are fleeing domestic violence. We provide referrals to resources in the community and in the future, we will offer a safe, supportive environment where survivors can begin to rebuild their lives.
Who can access Lotus House services?
Lotus House serves women who need support or information about resources in the community to leave an abusive relationship and in the future will offer a house for women who have been referred by Violence Against Women (VAW) shelters or other agencies assisting women fleeing domestic violence.
Where is Lotus House located?
For safety reasons, the exact location of Lotus House is confidential. We are based in Toronto, Ontario

Services & Programs
What services does Lotus House offer?
Lotus House offers referrals for resources in the community and in the future will offer safe transitional housing, emotional support, life skills programs, referrals to counseling, employment support, and assistance finding permanent housing.
Is Lotus House a shelter?
No. Lotus House will be a transitional housing program, which means we support women who have already left emergency shelters and need additional time and support to transition to independent living.
How can I apply to live at Lotus House?
When we open our house, Women must be referred to Lotus House by a VAW shelter or an authorized community agency.
Is there a cost to live at Lotus House?
Lotus House will offer rent-geared-to-income housing. Residents contribute a portion of their income toward housing costs, and no one is turned away for inability to pay.
What happens after my stay at Lotus House?
We will work closely with each resident to create a transition plan for moving into safe, permanent housing. Our team will continue to offer support and referrals even after you leave.

Confidentiality and Donations
Is my information kept private?
Yes. All information shared with Lotus House is confidential and used only to support your housing and recovery journey.
How can I donate to Lotus House?
You can donate through our website, www.lotushousefoundation.org. We accept one-time and monthly donations, and every contribution helps women rebuild their lives. shelters and need additional time and support to transition to independent living.
Can I volunteer with Lotus House?
Yes! We welcome volunteers to help with events, fundraising, and some support services. Please visit our www.lotushousefoundation.org/volunteers page for more information.
Is Lotus House a registered charity?
Lotus House is in the process of applying for charitable status. Once approved, donation receipts will be issued for tax purposes.
